IFA Performance & Development Programme

In September 2017, ICD collaborated with the IFA to launch a Performance Programme for young footballers transferring to post-primary level education who chose to attend ICD and had been successful in trials at the College.

​

Participants on the programme receive additional training from A’ Licence IFA coaches. Year 10 players identified as being of the required standard will be offered a place into the Irish FA Academy.

As a beacon of good practice for football in NI, the Irish FA awarded the College the Schools’ Quality Mark Accreditation at Gold Level.

The Irish FA hosts a primary school tournament/fun day, at ICD, which highlights the facilities and uniqueness of the College where students under the guidance of the Irish FA Employability and Education Team will be offered a programme of coaching education.
