WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING

Students will learn about the birth and subsequent development of the child. They will be given opportunities to investigate, organise, communicate and evaluate using different skills. They will learn theories about the family, how a child grows and learns and they will study different ethical, cultural and social issues in our society. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Child development teaches many skills that are invaluable for life, including how to look after a family. However it also lays a good foundation for careers as classroom assistants, nursery workers, midwives, social workers and any of the caring professions.
