Launch of Schools’ Soccer Competition
26 February, 2010

Year 11 ICD students pictured with Mr Stephen Rice (Integrated College Dungannon PE Teacher), Stephen Davison (sponsor) and Dixie Robinson (Manager of Dungannon Swifts) at the launch of the Davison’s Coaches sponsored Year 11 Schools’ Soccer Competition.

Dixie Robinson, Dungannon Swifts Manager was the special guest at the recent launch of the Davison's Coaches sponsored year 11 Schools Soccer Competition.

Along with sponsor, Stephen Davison, Dixie made the draw that will pit 8 local schools against each other in a knockout formation.Speaking at the launch Dixie said, 'This is the second year that Davison's Coaches have sponsored a Year 11 tournament. It is a great opportunity for young footballers to practice and display their soccer skills and to meet with students from other schools. Great enthusiasm was shown by all the participating schools last year and I expect this year to be even more competitive. I'm looking forward to some challenging and exciting games.'

Last year's winners, St Patrick's Academy will be hoping to repeat their success, while the winners of the Plate competition last year, Integrated College Dungannon will be hoping to get a run in the main competition this year.
