On Wednesday 19th November, ICD's U-14 team lined
out against local rivals Drumglass. The team were missing a number of
key men through injury, and as a result knew they would have a tough
game on their hands. James Nesbitt went very close with a free kick
in the first half, but it was Drumglass who took the lead after a few
defensive errors by the home side. The second half saw ICD put Drumglass
under much more pressure, but they were unable to convert, and were
soon caught on the break by a wicked bounce that saw them go 2-0 down.
Overall, the boys did not deserve to lose 2-0, and they
can take a lot from the second half, with strong performances from Daniel
McAlynn and Rowan McShane.
