At the recent E District Championships ICD students enjoyed a successful day with many excellent performances. With 30 schools taking part the competition was fierce. The first successes for ICD came in the 3000m with Megan Bothwell and Connor Traynor finishing in 2nd place. Next up was Pearse Loughran who ran strongly to win the 800m in a time of 2.36. It was then over to the sprinters with Alan Ford finishing 2nd in the 200m final and Jason Yau finishing 3rd in the 100m final. Cormac Dolan qualified in the steeplechase and Joe Collins was successful in the 400m and High Jump finishing 2nd in each. All these students will represent the College in the Ulster Schools finals at the end of March.
There were also good performances from Rory Dooey, Holly Tempelton, James Nesbitt and Cathal McCann
