Mr Coyle and Miss Byrne would like to congratulate Year 10 student Chloe Johnston, who has been awarded ‘Key Stage 3 Artist of the AP’, for AP2. Chloe is a very talented artist who has produced some amazing portraiture work so far in year 10. She is very deserving of this award. Chloe’s work will be displayed in the Art corridor for the duration of AP3. Well done Chloe!

Angel Shek, year 12, has been awarded Key Stage 4 Artist of the AP for assessment point 2. Angel’s project this year looks at animals, particularly dogs and cows. She has produced some fantastic work looking at artists Paul Bell and Ron Burns. It has been great to see Angel’s skills blossom this year and Miss Byrne and Mr Coyle would like to congratulate her on the fantastic work she has produced. Well done Angel. You can view more of her work on the display boards by the art rooms.

 

Mr Coyle and Miss Byrne would like to congratulate Year 9 student Mirza Moreno, who has been awarded ‘Key Stage 3 Artist of the AP’, for AP one. Mirza is a very talented artist and always gives her best in both homework tasks and class work. She is very deserving of this award. Mirza’s work will be displayed in the Art corridor for the duration of AP2. Well done Mirza!

Mairead Kelly in year 12 has been awarded Key Stage 4 Artist of the AP for assessment point one. Mairead’s project this year is entitled ‘Reflections and Distortions’ and she has been looking at how water can refract light to obscure how we see things. She has worked very hard looking at a range of artists and taking her own photos to produce some fantastic tonal work in particular. It has been great to see Mairead’s skills blossom this year and Miss Byrne and Mr Coyle would like to congratulate her on the fantastic work she has produced. Well done Mairead.
